Heat pumps

The sun is a great and endless source of energy for our planet. We may perceive thermal energy only on hot days, but in reality it is present in the air even on the coldest days and nights. The heat pump ‘draws’ heat energy from the external environment, from water or from the ground. In fact, it only needs a very small amount of energy to operate and absorb the heat in the air.
As traditional central heating systems and boilers are costly and harmful to the environment, consumers are increasingly turning to new heating technology. The heat pump is more efficient and saves much more energy than traditional heating systems. At the same time, the percentage of carbon dioxide it emits is much lower in comparison and maintenance costs are minimal.
The heat pump is used for all heating, cooling and domestic hot water requirements and is suitable for use in apartments and detached houses, offices, shops and large commercial premises such as hotels.

Solar heating

Greece has excellent climatic conditions, which favour the use of solar energy, as it enjoys sunshine most days of the year. More specifically, the average daily solar energy in our country is 4.6 (kWh/m2) and the average annual solar energy is 1,700 (kWh/m2). Under these conditions, the use of energy methods that harness solar energy is an ideal choice, as a solar installation can save up to 80 % of the energy needed to produce hot water and heat a building or apartment, offering savings and a more environmentally friendly environment.
